From 20 years of post-production and VFX for major brands, to building backend infrastructure with the same attention to detail.
I was born in Quito in 1981. Before writing my first line of backend code, I spent two decades building things with technical precision: I was a compositor and post-production supervisor for brands, TV channels, and even the Consulate General of Spain. Programming was always there in the background — I started in 2004 with Flash and ActionScript, and years later used Python to build my own 3D pipeline tools. Two years ago I came back to web development for real, and for the past year it's been my full-time focus: backend infrastructure, crypto payments, and automation — with the same attention to detail I learned delivering projects with zero room for error.
From the post-production suite to the server. The full timeline.
Full-time focus on building and deploying production systems: crypto payment gateways, bots, custom backends, and security hardening.
After years of coding only as a support tool for my audiovisual work, I return to web development as my main craft.
I handle communications and sales for the foundation, supporting the projects of its Motion Studio division.
12 years developing advertising projects and animated series production for brands and state TV channels in Ecuador. In parallel, I used Python to build my own 3D pipeline tools.
A one-off Stereo compositing project, collaborating with international teams.
In charge of building the post-production department from scratch. Among other projects, I built the website for the Consulate General of Spain in Miami.
Show promos and premieres for one of Ecuador's national TV channels.
600 hours of intensive training in 3D and VFX.
The starting point — long before this became my full-time craft.
Formal foundation in communications, before specializing in imaging and post-production.
"I wish to express my most sincere gratitude for the outstanding work carried out in the preparation of the Consulate General of Spain's website. It is a project of great quality that undoubtedly allows us to improve the services we aim to offer this community."
— Santiago Cabañas, Consul General of Spain · Miami, 2010 (translated from the original Spanish)
Tell me the technical problem, not the solution you think you need. I'll tell you if this is a fit.
